Simon Leyden
Simon is a Business Development Manager with the Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water, putting to the fore his specialist knowledge and understanding of climate, energy transition, and energy finance. His work is to help foster relationships between industry partners and the Climate + Co-Centre to deliver projects that bring the positive impact and transformative change urgently needed to tackle the climate, biodiversity and water crises.
Previously, Simon worked in Project Finance for large-scale energy infrastructure finance within the European Union and provided utility-to-utility advisory services in Sub-Saharan Africa. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics and geography and is currently pursuing a PhD in financial geography at Trinity College Dublin.
